FiberglassLabeled.jpg

Traditional fiberglass insulation does not perform to its labeled R-value.  By having even small voids in the framing or at the end of the batt(1-2% of the insulation area), a loss of 25-40% of the R-value may be noticed. (per Kansas State University, Engineering Extension, Residential Insulation).

By utilizing closed-cell spray foam, a building can be made considerably stronger.  Even if studs are moved to 24" o.c. and a lightweight sheating is used, a building can be stronger with closed-cell foam that with traditional building materials and fiberglass batts.
